The Office for Technical Aesthetics [tota] is a multidisciplinary design practice. The Office is context - research driven. Drawing its roots from cultural notions and propelling ideas into a future vision. The Office was founded in 2019, India and got commercial in 2021. The Office was started as a research project to question and explore the relationship between experience and objects. Since then, the purpose of the Office has been to explore the nature of contexts and it’s modulation with technological, cultural, historical, and societal aspects through research and it’s elements.
The Office explores self-initiated projects, and also extends it’s services into design consultancy. Office has been a creative advisor to few brands globally, with curated approaches towards different disciplines of design and mix-media, the Office investigates the multi-faceted nature of design. It has always been an attempt of the Office to explore new contexts and possibilities for the industry and the products, through which the Office then explores the zones of experiences and the communication through various media. While being mindful of the cause - effects of objects and visuals, the Office attempts to preserve the intimacy of the experience. With contemporary times, tota is on a constant flux between the epochs of time, re-visiting memories, and curating new ones.
